Learn about a different side of Cornwall during this immersive experience in one of Cornwall’s most dark and haunting venues! Built in 1779 for King George III, Bodmin Jail has played an important role in Cornwall’s history and this bold redevelopment gives visitors the chance to delve into an intriguing hidden history. Retold for 21st-century audiences, the haunting cinematic visual experience will tell stories of smuggling, mining and the everyday hardships facing Cornwall’s poorest, including tales from infamous prisoners.

In the afternoon we continue to explore something a little brighter! The beautiful house and gardens of Lanhydrock estate. Visit this quintessential country house and estate with a blue badge guide and have plenty of free time to wander further around the house and gardens as well.
