Steve Cave was born and bred in Derby, where he has been playing bridge for fifty years, since his early twenties. He has represented Derbyshire in numerous events throughout that period.
He taught bridge at night classes in Derbyshire schools and gained the Tournament Director accreditation in 2018, when he first became involved with Mr Bridge and then Bernard Magee Bridge holidays and cruises. Steve was a member of a team helping Bernard on a Balmoral cruise to Norway just prior to the Covid lockdown. More recently, he was back on the same ship, this time for the Cultural Capitals cruise.
