Our Gourmet events offer an indulgent experience, designed for food lovers and those seeking a more exclusive time away. These events will typically feature a carefully curated 5-course tasting menu on the second evening, allowing guests to indulge in delicious cuisine.

Unlike standard events, our Gourmet events have a slightly altered itinerary to accommodate the special culinary focus, which is explained in more detail below. You will also find that the venues and accommodations are of a higher standard as well, with stays at unique or boutique properties that offer a premium level of comfort and service.

Our Country House events typically focus on creating wonderful experiences within the unique setting of a manor house or similar historic estate. These events often highlight the charm, elegance, and quirks of the property itself, which become key elements of the event’s atmosphere.

At these events, you can expect to experience a mix of refined and rustic elements — modern yet cosy surroundings, with the house’s architecture and history playing a starring role.

All our events are full board. Our regular two day ‘Seminar Event’ features two Seminar Sessions, each followed by the opportunity to play the accompanying Set Hands. There are also four Duplicate Bridge playing sessions. The ‘Just Duplicate Event’ simply features six Duplicate Bridge playing sessions over three days. Like the ‘Seminar Event’, the ‘Gourmet and Country House Events’ feature two Seminar Sessions, each followed by the opportunity to play the accompanying Set Hands. However, they each have three Duplicate Bridge Sessions to make way for a relaxed dinner on the second evening. In the case of the ‘Gourmet Event’ this is a delicious five-course affair.

All sessions are optional and please don’t worry if you are coming on your own, we will always be able to find you a partner.On the final day, check-out will take place shortly after breakfast, but the event continues with the second Seminar followed by the accompanying Set Hands play, to practice what you have learnt from the Seminar. This runs until lunchtime, after which the final Duplicate Bridge Session will be held, with departure scheduled in the afternoon after the game.
