ABOUT THIS CRUISE

This cruise has been specially timed to visit the Netherlands during the colourful tulip season. You can see these iconic flowers in bloom at the Keukenhof Gardens or even at a tulip farm accompanied by a local tulip grower who can share an insight into how they’re grown.

Only smaller ships like Balmoral can dock in Antwerp. You’ll be within walking distance of the city centre and have the chance to explore the famous diamond district and sample treats synonymous with Belgium, such as chocolate and beer. Hamburg is home to one of the world’s most influential music scenes and is where The Beatles began their career. You can uncover this musical history with a local Beatles enthusiast.

Kim Dolman

Kim started playing bridge in his lunch break at work in 1997 and soon developed an enthusiasm for the game. He is a keen advocate of Bernard’s basic and advanced Acol bidding systems. In the last 21 years he has helped at over 60 events covering all the set hands from Bernard’s seminars.

Kim is a regular player on BMB Teams events, and he has been running a teaching table at the BMB Saturday morning session on BBO since its inception. He is an EBU-qualified Teacher and Director and a BMB proof-reader.

A significant maritime city, Hamburg is crisscrossed with hundreds of canals and thousands of bridges, including the 17th century Zollenbrücke Bridge and the famous Köhlbrandbrücke – high enough for ships to pass underneath.
